When
we moved to our small farm in rural Trumbull County Ohio in 1998,
little did we know how drastically the quality of our
life would
blossom.
After raising three wonderful children in quiet suburbia, we now now have three fablous grandchildern and enjoy the
freedom of movement offered by quaint country living. Longtime horse enthusiasts,
we settled on ten beautiful, rolling acres and established Beachwood Creek Farm.
As horse owners, we have always enjoyed farm life and the stress relief gained
by simply being around and caring for animals.
With twenty five years of experience as a bank executive, the conservative
management of financial assets has been my strong suit.
As a Speech Pathologist, Anita has a gift for
nurturing children which makes her especially talented with animals.
Like many people of our age, with the children
grown and gone, we set about planning for retirement. However,
with the high level of income tax being sent to the government
each year, we considered many investment opportunities which
would allow us to build wealth without the depleting burden of
taxes.
Real estate, stocks and mutual funds, while
important, seemed so uninspiring and impersonal. In addition,
we had been increasingly dismayed by the volatility of financial
investments brought on by events over which we had no control.
Then, we were introduced to alpacas and the alpaca
lifestyle by Anita’s sister and brother-in-law at Accoyo!@DoubleStuffFarm and
we have never looked back.
With the industry’s growth trend over the
past twenty years, the alpaca business provides excellent
opportunities to produce income and build wealth while enjoying
the rewards of a working with these inspiring animals.
By employing breeding techniques which maximize
proven genetics, we strive to continually improve the quality
of our herd in order to offer customers an excellent selection
of breeding alternatives and foundation stock supported by superior
service.
The US alpaca industry is relatively young and
there are few “experts.” The knowledge of camelid
care and breeding is continually evolving. For that reason, we
have created friendships with industry experts so that any question
can be answered quickly and confidently.
Please take a moment and have a look at the alpacas
